Hello, my name is Holger Korsten and I've been working as a wedding DJ under the name DJ GerreG for over 25 years.
My expertise has been built up since my school days, as I was already responsible for the music at all class parties back then. But it also comes from clubs and discotheques. Even after school, former classmates would approach me and book me for their weddings. And so I specialized very early on in engagement parties and weddings. So if you needed heart surgery, you wouldn't go to your general practitioner and say, "Get it done, right?" You'd seek out the best specialist, a gifted heart surgeon who does nothing but heart surgeries all day. You wouldn't go to a knee surgery specialist, but specifically to a heart surgeon.

I already answered the question about hourly DJ costs in the previous question. The hourly rate for a professional DJ starts at approximately 75 Euros per hour. The better and more specialized a DJ is for weddings, the higher the hourly rates you'll need to budget for.
There are big differences among DJs, just as there are big differences among cars. You can buy a small car for little money. It'll get you from A to B - no question. A luxury sedan will do that too, but the comfort is absolutely incomparable.
You can, of course, have a new knee "installed" at the nearest hospital... and yes, maybe that will go well. But I'm sure you'll lean towards an expert and specialist for this decision.
