At the heart of it is the idea that we do not always have to search for great happiness. Sometimes we cross paths with the very person who will change our lives, even though we were not looking for them at all. A chance encounter turns into closeness, a single moment into shared happiness, and two separate paths in life become one.

Creation & production of the song
The idea for „Ich hab dich nicht gesucht“ came about rather by chance—and thus just as unplanned as the story the song tells.
The starting point was a singer's request to write and produce a new track for him that musically and emotionally should go in a similar direction to „Du bist die Nummer 1“. However, the specific idea for the story was initially still missing.
The decisive idea ultimately arose in a completely different place: While searching for a suitable voice for another music production, I happened to stumble upon a country singer whose voice immediately captivated me. I had neither looked for a country singer nor planned to produce a country song – and out of exactly that, the phrase suddenly emerged: „I wasn't looking for you.“
From this idea, a modern country love story developed at first. At the same time, however, I quickly realized that the fundamental thought also fits a German Schlager brilliantly: „I wasn't looking for you – and yet we found each other.“
With that, the story for the new song was born.
Musically, this resulted in a modern disco-fox schlager with a catchy melody, a danceable rhythm, and a chorus whose central message immediately sticks in your mind. The lyrics deliberately tell of an ordinary day, a single moment, and an encounter in simple, personal imagery that ultimately leads to shared happiness.
And so the creation of the song ultimately fits its title surprisingly well: Also „I wasn't looking for you“ Wasn't planned at all originally – and suddenly it was just there.
Effect & use
