Until we meet again – Why goodbyes don't sound the same everywhere.
When I„We'll see each other again, sometime“wrote, there was mainly silence.
Heavy.
And this emptiness that remains when a person is absent.
But as I worked on the Spanish version, I realized something:
Farewells don't sound the same all over the world.
In many Latin American cultures, grief is experienced differently.
Not just quiet. Not just in black.
But with music, with light, with gratitude for a life lived.
And that's exactly how „Hasta volvernos a encontrar“ came about.
Farewells can also carry warmth
I didn't want to make a sad remix.
I wanted to show a different perspective.
The same message.
But in a different light.
Warm rhythms.
Sunny timbres.
An energy that doesn't displace but carries.
Because hope is allowed to sound.
And remembrance may live on.
The certainty that lies deep within us
One of my favorite lines in the Spanish version is:
I know it deep down inside me
I am fine now
Wherever you are.
I know it deep down.
I hope you are doing well.
Wherever you are.
That's not a loud thought.
This is a silent trust.
And I wanted to convey this exact feeling through music.
More than just a translation
„Until we meet again“ is not a mere translation.
It's a new interpretation.
One version that says:
Parting can hurt.
But he can also carry light.
It can be a promise.
Not „Goodbye.“.
But
Until we meet again.
Until we see each other again.
Until we meet again – Why I'm releasing this song
Because music can connect.
Across languages.
Across cultures.
Across borders.
And maybe this version touches someone in a different way.
Perhaps she offers hope precisely where silence isn't enough.
When you listen to the song, don't just listen with your head.
But with the heart.
Perhaps you'll then feel what I felt while writing:
That farewell is not the end.
But sometimes the beginning of another form of closeness.
